Southeastern Queens: South Ozone Park

South Ozone Park is a mixed working class neighborhood in Southeastern Queens. South Ozone Park was originally developed as a low-cost housing area in 1900. This neighborhood is currently dominated with people from India, Bangladesh & Guyana.

Pictured is the famed Lincoln Park/Judge Fields, located @ the intersection of Lincoln St. & Linden Blvd. 2 time NBA Champion & Queens basketball legend Lamar Odom started as a youth playing in the Lincoln Park summer tourney every year. Lincoln Park also has reached celluloid fame. In 1996 the rap group The Lost Boyz shot the video for the popular song, “Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimas & Benz” here.

On April 27, 2012 Lamar Odom brought Kim & Khloe Kardashian to his childhood park for an episode of “Keeping up with the Kardashians.”
