Northeastern Queens: Queensboro Hill

Queensboro Hill is a mixed middle class suburb of Flushing, located in Central Queens. Residential development in this area began in the early 1900’s as the population of Downtown Flushing grew and residents move upward.

Pictured is the Queensboro Hill Community Church located on 138th Street. Built in 1930, the 35 plus member church is a multi-racial congregation of the Reformed Church in America.

On Thursday September 16 2010 a tornado caused extensive damage to Queensboro Hill.
