Malba is an upperclass sub neighborhood of Whitestone Queens. Its name is derived from the 1st five letters of the surnames of the five founders of the Malba Land Company: Maycock, Alling, Lewis, Bishop & Avis.
Pictured is the Malba security station located on Malba Drive. Malba is an exclusive private community which charges each resident $325 dollars a year to maintain a private security detail and to tend to its three commonly owned triangles.
In 2011, ex-NY Mets player Roberto Alomar sold his 15 room mansion for $2.8 million dollars.
