Northeastern Queens: Linden Hill

Linden Hill is a working middle class sub neighborhood of Flushing. Linden Hill was originally a private rural estate owned by the Mitchell family. Widely considered to be a part of the larger town of Flushing, but some debate that Linden Hill stands alone.

Pictured is Flushing High School. Flushing High School is the oldest public high school in New York City. The building was built in 1912, and given landmark status in 1991.

The New York City Health Department targeted Linden Hill in spraying for the West Nile virus in the summer of 2013.
