Glen Oaks is the easternmost neighborhood of Queens. Glen Oaks straddles the border of Queens and Nassau County. The northern edge of Glen Oaks is a line of hills which are part of the terminal moraine of the last glacial period. These hills include the highest point in Queens which are 258.2 feet above sea level. The southern part of Glen Oaks is a glacial outwash plain.
Pictured is Glen Oaks Village, built in 1947 right after World War II to help fill the void of affordable housing for returning soldiers. The 3,000 unit complex was converted into a cooperative in 1981.
Tenney Park is home to the Glen Oaks Little League.
